Praia da Senhora da Boa Nova

Smaller and more secluded, this beach is a good choice for windy days. Here, the Matosinhos architect Siza Vieira, a Pritzker laureate, also made his mark on the landscape, designing the Casa de Chá da Boa Nova tea room.

On this beach there is no lack of heritage to admire: to the south, the famous lighthouse, northwards, the Boa Nova Chapel, remnants of the times when this was a monastery inhabited by Franciscan monks, built in the 14th century.

Praia da Senhora da Boa Nova has blue flag status, lifeguard service during the summer and the option of renting sun shades and loungers.

This beach offers easy access and many parking spaces.
